Lindsay Bridgeman, BSc, Physiotherapist

Lindsay is the owner of Cayman Physiotherapy Ltd. and qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1986 from The Queen’s College, Glasgow, Scotland. She then ventured south to work as a rotational physiotherapist at Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral, England. Lindsay’s love of travel then took her abroad to Canada where she worked as a physiotherapist at Toronto General Hospital.

Lindsay arrived in the Cayman Islands in 1989 continuing to work as a physiotherapist and in 1993 set up Cayman Physiotherapy Ltd. initially as a single therapist practice. The clinic has evolved into a busy facility with a team of eight physiotherapists, a massage therapist, an acupuncturist and a Pilate’s instructor on staff.

Lindsay splits her time between managing the clinic and treating patients. Her special interests include back and neck problems, hand therapy and women’s health. She is trained in a wide range of manual therapy techniques, specialised exercise therapy, sports medicine as well as using acupuncture and trigger point needling as an adjunct to physiotherapy. Keeping up to date with current trends in physiotherapy is very important to Lindsay and she either attends or organises a specialized continuing education course every year.

Lindsay sits on the board of the Cayman Islands Council for Professionals Allied to Medicine.

Having spent the past 28 years in the Cayman Islands, Lindsay is happy to call the Cayman Islands home and is very settled here with her husband David and two grown up children. In her spare time she is an active member of the Cayman Islands squash and tennis clubs and also enjoys an occasional round of golf.
